We have two exciting Winemaker Dinner’s coming up and we would love for you to join us.
On March 9th we are excited to host Penny Murray of Planeta Winery in Sicily for a 6 course dinner with wine pairings. Planeta reshaped the way wine is made in Sicily. Using both indigenous and international varieties, this family owned winery has received critical acclaim by winning the Gambero Rosso 'Producer of the Year' award in 1999. Planeta’s Chardonnay has been included in the Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines the last 3 out of 5 years and have numerous Tre Bichhiere rated wines by the Gambero Rosso. This will be a memorable evening. We are thrilled announce that Myles Anderson, Co-owner and winemaker of Walla Walla Vintners will join us on April 23rd for a 5 course dinner with wine pairings. Walla Walla Vintners, is a limited-production winery, dedicated to making premium red wines - Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Sangiovese, Syrah and specially crafted Bordeaux blends. They specialize in making wines from sustainable vineyards in Washington State particularly vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley. You will not want to miss meeting Myles and tasting these award winning wines.
Both dinners have limited seating and will sell out quickly so please call the restaurant at 206.789.5100 or email michelle@volterrarestaurant.com to reserve your spot.

Cheers! Michelle and Don

Dinner and a Movie Series:

Date night just got a whole lot more appetizing with the formation of a partnership between Volterra Restaurant and the Seattle International Film Festival. “Dinner and a Movie,” a year-long quarterly program that officially started in January 2008, features Volterra’s award-winning Italian cuisine coupled with films exclusively picked by Carl Spence, Artistic Director of SIFF. Dinner and a Movie —presented by Volterra and SIFF—each film will be complimented by a specially-prepared meal in the intimate private dining room.
